A warm welcome to new Stayner Chamber of Commerce members, D-Vine Wine and The Cheesy Corner (both housed in the same storefront), located on Main Street Stayner.

The Chamber would also like to welcome back after a hiatus, Coffee Culture, Stayner Pharmasave and East End Vendors Market. We are glad to have you back!
 

COMMITTEE CORNER - MEMBERSHIP
On this month’s Committee Corner we meet Kat Salvador, the new Membership Coordinator. Kat stepped into the role of membership at her very first Chamber meeting in September 2017 and realized very quickly she had incredibly big boots to fill.  Lisa Squire, the previous chair, worked tirelessly to serve the members of the Stayner Chamber. Keeping memberships organized and up to date takes a lot of time, focus and effort.  Kat is doing her best to be as effective and efficient as Lisa was in her new role. To that end, if you have not yet received a receipt for your membership payment, please e-mail Kat at ksalvador75@gmail.com. Memberships are being processed weekly with the receipts e-mailed immediately after processing, so if you believe you are missing your receipt please let Kat know.

Stayner Chamber memberships are now $120 for the year.  Click http://staynerchamber.ca/Join to fill out an application form to join, then click on the Yearly Membership icon in the middle of the page to pay with PayPal.  Alternatively, you can mail everything to Box 1049, Stayner, Ontario, L0M lS0 or drop it off at Stayner Home Hardware.
 

SCAVENGER HUNT CANCELLED
Unfortunately, there was no interest expressed to chair the Duck Race Scavenger Hunt, so this event has been cancelled this year. The Kinsman Duck Race will still take place, but the Stayner Chamber will not be arranging the Scavenger Hunt.
Nobody wants to see our local events cancelled. If you have the time to volunteer for a committee please join the Stayner Chamber of Commerce by clicking http://staynerchamber.ca/Join. You don’t have to attend every meeting and committee members are always needed. We would love to have you!
 


NEW EVENT
A new event is coming to Stayner this fall, arranged by the Stayner Chamber. This event will aim to bring participants into businesses located all around Stayner with a grand prize draw for participants who visit all locations. As this will be the first year of the event, a maximum of 15 businesses will be permitted to participate. More information will follow in the coming months, so stay tuned!


STAYNER ART FEST
Stayner Art Fest is looking for a new Committee Chair or Co-Chairs. Last year’s Chair is not able to participate in the Art Fest this year but is prepared to provide the contacts and data from last year’s event to the new committee. Neema’s Children’s Choir as well as a few vendors have already expressed interest in participating in this year’s June event but until a committee is formed, no work can be done to move forward. If you are interested in chairing or co-chairing this committee, please e-mail the Chamber at staynerchamber@gmail.com. If no members express interest by the next meeting on Wednesday February 21^st, the Stayner Art Fest will be cancelled for this year.

 

CANADA DAY
The Stayner Chamber is looking for a new chair or co-chair for the Canada Day festivities this year, as the past chair is unable to participate. Please email the Chamber as soon as possible at staynerchamber@gmail.com if you are interested in working on this event.
