NEWSLETTER - JULY
What a fantastic July in Stayner! First the Canada Day festivities, then the Stayner Art Fest, and of course, the Music Market and Park It every Thursday evening. It has been an eventful and enjoyable month of events in Stayner.
CANADA DAY
What a day! Canada Day was a fun whirlwind of activities. With popcorn, face painting, candy floss, slushies, ice cream, a sandbox, a photo booth, cupcakes and whole bunch more, it was a fun (although hot!) day for the kiddies. A special thank you to Lisa Squire for stepping up to chair the Canada Day festivities again this year. It was an amazing day for the kids.
STAYNER ART FEST
Station Park was once again filled with close to 40 local artisans showcasing their amazing talents. From art pieces in watercolours, pastels, acrylics and prints, to yarns, jewellery, candles, leather, and so much more, it was a wonderful event. The Neema Children’s Choir was once again an inspirational and uplifting addition to the day. Our local MMEA and Angie’s Place restaurants were on-site to feed the hungry attendees. A special thank you to The Door for feeding several of the choir, and MMEA for providing some complimentary meals.
Marion Spellman and Connie Leishman did a wonderful job putting this event together. Thank you to both ladies for working so hard to bring us another successful Art Fest this year.
STAYNER CHAMBER BUSINESS CRAWL
Thank you to all the businesses confirmed to participate in the Business Crawl in October:
A&D Birdseed ~ D-Vine Wine ~ Fernwood Farms & Market ~ Forget Me Not Flowers ~ Knit N Kaboodle ~ Leishman’s Pottery ~ Nifty Thrifty Shop ~ Stayner Home Hardware ~ Stayner Town & Country ~ Torn Pages
MUSIC, MARKET AND PARK IT
Don’t forget to enjoy all the outdoor markets that Clearview Township has to offer this summer! The Stayner Chamber’s Music, Market and Park It takes place every Thursday night starting at 5:00 pm at Station Park with music starting at 7:00 pm. Market booths, classic cars and music, oh my!
WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND
Help yourself and your neighbouring businesses by cross promoting:
- Send people from your store to other businesses in town. People look to you for information
- Help spread the love by suggesting other local businesses for them to visit!
- Share Facebook posts of local businesses on your personal Facebook page
- Write a review on Google or Facebook for local businesses that you want to support
- When doing your own business postings on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, use the hashtags #shopstayner and #stopinstayner
Let’s draw more shoppers to our area!
NEXT MEETING
Due to the busy summer months, the next Chamber meeting will not take place until Wednesday, September 19th.
