BUSINESS OF THE MONTH
The Chamber is looking for more Business of the Month applicants. This is a FREE service to Chamber Members that includes a 1 week boost, but is by request only. If you are interested in being a Business of the Month on our Facebook page, please contact Kat Salvador at ksalvador75@gmail.com to reserve your month.


STAYNER BUSINESS DIRECTORY
It has been discussed a few times in meetings that stores may not be referring their visitors to other Stayner businesses when they do not have what they’re looking for.  In order to encourage referrals for our neighbours, a hard copy Stayner Business Directory is being created so stores have as a reference with which to help refer clients to other stores in Stayner.

 
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
Many of the events that take place throughout the year would not be possible without the amazing volunteers that show up and give their time to help out.  The Chamber would love to create and maintain a master file of volunteers, administered by a Volunteer Coordinator, for the event chairs to access when needed.  If you are interested in helping with this important role, please contact Charley Lewis at 705-606-2008 or charleysells@hotmail.com.

 
STAYNER BUSINESS CRAWL
The Business Crawl will take place once again this year with a possible change of month. Kelly Kramer, last year’s Co-chair, is looking for another person to Co-chair with her this year.  If you are interested in working on this event, please contact Kelly Kramer at Kelly@shopstayner.com.

 
BUSINESS RECOGNITION AWARDS
Each year the Stayner Chamber hosts a Business Recognition Awards night that take place after the Annual General Meeting.  These awards are important in recognizing the contributions and hard work of our local businesses, workers and volunteers.  A Chair and/or Co-chair are needed for this event to continue this year.  Please contact John Squire Sr. at staynerchamber@gmail.com if you are interested in keeping this important event going.


MOTHERS DAY DRAW
Last year’s Mothers Day prize was a giant basket full of buy local goodies.  What will be in this year’s basket?  Find out by buying a ticket...or 5.  Returning Co-Chairs Troy Disabato and Terry Duits will fill a new basket with local love for a deserving mom.


MUSIC, MARKET & PARK IT
Thinking about summer?  We are!  The ‘Music’ part of Music, Market & Park It is well underway with 9 of the 13 bands already booked for the season.  If you know of a local band interested in playing in the park, please have them contact John Squire Sr. at staynerchamber@gmail.com. ARTSFEST
Coming back again this summer with a slightly modified name, ArtsFest will once again be Co-Chaired by Marion Spellman and Connie Leishman. If you are interested in having a booth at this event, please contact Marion pspellman@sympatico.ca

CANADA DAY CELEBRATION
Last year’s Canada Day was HOT!  As in, it was a million degrees outside.  Despite the heat, many still came to partake in the festivities at the Stayner Arena.  We are looking for a new Chair or Co-Chairs for this event this year to set up a special day for our kiddies.  Interested in helping to pull this event together?  Please contact John Squire Sr. at staynerchamber@gmail.com.

 
ROXODUS
It’s coming…July 11-13^th…Roxodus, a new rock music festival right in our backyard at the Edenvale Aerodome.  The Stayner Chamber is discussing some marketing strategies to try and pull people into the Stayner stores while the festival is on.  We’re still working on it but we’ll see what rocks out and keep you posted.
