BANNERS
Downtown Stayner needs new banners.  We will be collaborating with the Heritage Society for the Remembrance Day banners honouring our local veterans but we also need to replenish the existing banners that have been damaged. We are looking into the cost of having new banners designed and possibly have businesses sponsor banners to have their name on them.

 

EASTER EGG HUNT
The Chamber is supporting The Door again this year with a monetary donation for their Easter Egg Hunt.  Happy hunting friends!



MOTHER’S DAY BASKET
Co-chairs Troy Disabato and Terry Duits are looking for donations for the Mother’s Day Basket. If you are willing to donate an item for the prize basket, please drop it off to Torn Pages (7323 Hwy 26) or Forget Me Not Flowers (7318 Hwy 26).  Let’s overflow this basket with local love!



BUSINESS RECOGNITION AWARDS
Charley Lewis from The Compass Real Estate Team has volunteered to be the Chair for the Business Recognition Awards this year.  Thank you Charley for stepping into this event! 
 
 

CANADA DAY CELEBRATION
Martina Ernst from Metroland Media has volunteered to be the Chair of the Canada Day festivities this year.  Martina is looking forward to being involved and bringing us another great event!

 

STAYNER ARTS FEST
SAVE THE DATE!  Stayner Arts Fest is on July 6^th this year and they are now accepting vendor applications. Please Contact Marion at 705-428-2043 for more info.



ROXODUS
It was decided not to hold any special Chamber events during this first large concert in our area (July 11-13) so we can monitor how an event this large will function and effect our businesses.  The Roxodus organizers have promised the local businesses free booth space to sell items during the event.  Unfortunately, the event does not currently have the required permits to run in Clearview Township so the permit process is ongoing.  If the permits are granted and the event moves forward, we are asking that businesses get into the spirit with rock themed window decorations or other rockin’ ideas for that weekend. 



BUSINESS CRAWL
Kelly Kramer, Chair of the Business Crawl, would love some help with this event. The Business Crawl will take place in August this year, a much better month for the event. The passports for the Crawl will be given out at Music, Market & Park It to get much more exposure and garner tons of interest.  Kelly is looking for another person to Co-chair with her this year.  If you are interested, please contact Kelly at Kelly@shopstayner.com.



VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
We are still looking for a Volunteer Coordinator.  Many of the events that take place throughout the year would not be possible without the amazing volunteers that show up and give their time to help out.  The Chamber would love to have a master file of volunteers administered by a Volunteer Coordinator for the ease of accessibility for the event chairs.  If you are interested in helping with this important role, please contact Charley Lewis at charleysells@hotmail.com.
