The Business Crawl was discussed at length over several weeks among the Chamber Executive, and it was finally decided to postpone the Crawl until the spring. Early next year we will decide whether the Business Crawl will take place as a live event, or whether it will be virtual with the use of QR codes. Windmills
The windmills that are currently on the posts in downtown Stayner will be coming down in mid-October. If anyone can volunteer to help bring them down, that would be most appreciated. Please let us know at clearviewchamber@gmail.com.
Taste of Clearview
Clearview Township in partnership with Creemore Brewery is holding a ‘Taste of Clearview’ campaign taking place between Oct 23 – Nov 1. The initiative is to encourage locals to eat locally. With patio season coming to an end, this new promotional campaign will entice residents and day trippers to dine in or order take-out from Clearview restaurants, cafes, and pubs. It will be a celebration of the harvest and agricultural heritage in Clearview and several of the restaurants will incorporate local ingredients and create unique menu offerings in partnership with Creemore Springs Brewery. It is also hoped that this campaign will help to educate and promote the safe dining experience at restaurants, pubs and cafes.
The participating restaurants and all of the details will soon be listed on the DiscoverClearview.ca website and the Township’s social media channels. If you have any questions or comments, please contact:
White Wednesday Last year, the White Wednesday event went well for those who participated so we have decided to do it again. The Chamber will be promoting a White Wednesdayon November 25th throughout Clearview. We will be asking businesses to decorate their storefronts in white, and if willing, to offer and promote some sales for the day. The Chamber will be connecting with the Creemore BIA to hopefully get their members involved as well. Some inspirational photos are below to help with decoration ideas!
Stayner Country Christmas/Tree Lighting
The Stayner Country Christmas portion of this event (caroling, santa photos, hot chocolate, etc.) will not take place this year. However, the Tree Lighting ceremony can still take place as a virtual event but only if a member is willing to Chair it and work with the township on the lights/decorations, and the lighting of the tree.
