The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development is in the process of reviewing its suite of programs and levers to aid with the creation of a Workforce Development Action Plan. The aim of the Action Plan, which was announced on March 2020, is to create a roadmap for ensuring Ontario workers have the skills to find good, high-quality jobs in a changing economy and achieve better outcomes for businesses, workers and communities.
The Ministry has retained a consulting team from KPMG LLP to support key elements of this work.
Stakeholder consultation is an important component of this work. Through this work, the Ministry is seeking to reach as many workforce development stakeholders as possible using a range of consultation methods and tools.
This email includes three links to anonymous and confidential surveys to seek feedback and ideas related to the workforce development system in Ontario. The surveys are geared to those who have had experience and interactions with elements of the existing workforce development system in Ontario.
If applicable, please share the relevant survey link with your networks of employers who engage in workforce development, training providers or learners themselves participating in provincial programs (e.g., Employment Ontario). KPMG is seeking broad insights and this survey is an important tool in supporting this work.
