A special General Meeting is being called this coming Monday, August, 23rd at 6:30 pm to discuss the hiring of Kat Salvador’s replacement. As you know, Kat transitioned out of her role as Vice-President in May, into the Chamber’s first paid employee position as the Administrative Coordinator. She was given a temporary, 3-month contract to continue with Membership, Marketing & Promotions, and Events, with the hope that she could continue in the role if it was proven that having a paid employee in the role was worthwhile.
At the General Meeting in June, Kat announced that she would not be able to continue in the administrative role past her contract and would be stepping down. The Executive Board would like to discuss Kat’s replacement, specifically wage amounts, with the membership this coming Monday in a special meeting, so the work can continue.
