Farewell to our Summer Student
The last day for our fabulous summer student, Jessi Molnar, is next Friday, September 3rd. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Jessi for all her hard work with the Chamber this summer. Jessi was instrumental in bringing you the Business Awards, the Online Silent Auction, the Canada Day event and the Clearview Tasty Tours map, not to mention her work on the membership drive, the Farmers’ Markets each week, and keeping the flowers on main street Stayner beautiful. Jessi, you were a pleasure to work with and we couldn’t have gotten through the summer without you. We wish you all the best with your future endeavors!
50/50 Draw
The August 50/50 pot is over $1,100 and there are only two markets left to purchase tickets. They can be purchased at the Stayner Farmers’ Market on Thursday from 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm, and at the Creemore Farmers’ Market on Saturday from 8:30 am – 1:00 pm. The August draw is this Saturday, August 28th after the Creemore market, so come visit the Chamber booths and buy your tickets to win some cash!
Business Recognition Awards
Just a reminder the link to the Awards video will be sent out to everyone on Sunday, September 12th, so keep an eye out. The video is almost done!
Online Silent Auction (In support of the Business Recognition Awards)
The Online Silent Auction ends this Friday, August 27th. There are still a few items with no first bid so take a look at what you can get! Go to the auction website at https://www.charityauctionstoday.com/auctions/business-recognition-awards--24769 to register and bid.
Once again, a huge thank you to all the businesses who donated items for our Silent Auction in support of the Business Recognition Awards.
Clearview Tasty Tours Map
The timeline to have an ad on the map is winding down. 5,000 copies of the map will be printed in September and distributed in October. If interested in purchasing an ad, please contact Kat Salvador at ksalvador75@gmail.com by this Friday, August 27th. Ads will be due by Friday, September 3rd.
$150 - Single ad - 3.125" wide x 1.825" high (Slightly smaller than a business card)
$250 - Double ad - 3.125" wide x 3.95" high
$400 - Full Panel ad - 3.125" wide x 8" high

Special General Meeting
A Special General Meeting has been called for Wednesday, September 8th at 6:30 pm to discuss the hiring of Kat Salvador’s replacement. Kat has been responsible for key areas of the Chamber for several years such as membership, member communications, social media and the monthly newsletter, along with many other behind-the-scenes responsibilities. For the past three months, she has also been responsible for the Business Awards & Silent Auction, the Canada Day event, the Farmers’ Market booths & 50/50 Draw, and the implementation of the Clearview Tasty Tours Map. Kat is taking a break from the Chamber due to her busy upcoming work schedule so her replacement will be taking on all this responsibility, and more. Make sure to RSVP for the September 8th meeting when you see the notice!
